It is easy to get lost in the castle when you're not familiar with its layout. Most rooms have more than one access, as if to have easy escape possibilities for castle residents in case of intrusion.
There is a courtyard, a Tavern with vaulted ceiling, the large Salle d'Armes, the Salle du Seigneurs where dinner is usually taken as well as bed chambers upstairs. Two of the four main towers are accessable.
There is, as in any castle, a chapel. One old chapel is out of use and a smaller one added later in the 16th century in one of the towers off the salle du seigneurs. Both have wall paintings still visible. |
